Student Travel Grant

The ESA offers student members of the society grants to help cover the cost of attending an Annual Meeting of the society. Grants are valued at a maximum of $300 each, and up to five grants are awarded on a competitive basis each year. To be eligible, the student must present a paper or poster at the meeting.

To apply for a grant, please download and complete the travel grant application, obtain an endorsement from your supervisor, attach a short description (no more than one page, double spaced) of your research interests, and mail all documents to the Secretary of the society. The address for the secretary can be found on our Board and Committees page. Applicants shall ensure that all documents are received by the Secretary, or are contained in envelopes postmarked, no later than the deadline (14 days prior to the AGM). Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Normally, the names of students awarded grants are announced during the Annual Meeting banquet.
