The Entomological Society of Alberta encourages the advancement of students in their interest in entomology. The organization is happy to provide resources for our students. The Proceedings from our annual meetings are a great resource for students and public alike to obtain a glimpse into the entomology research being conducted by students and researchers in Alberta. Students are invited to contact the secretary (esalberta@gmail.com) of society for any questions regarding membership or contact information about the Board.
We are also happy to provide multiple awards for students every year, which are usually awarded at the Annual General Meeting. Please refer to our student awards page for further information on how to apply.
Directory of Entomological Education in Canada
The Directory is an internet-based resource that resides on the website of the Entomological Society of Canada, and lists post-secondary institutions in Canada that offer training in entomology. Information in the Directory includes descriptions of schools, courses (traditional and internet), supervision of entomological research and financial support.
